Xiamen Port's annual cross-border passenger flow exceeds one million

Recently at Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport's arrival hall, a continuous stream of travelers queued for border inspection clearance. Dutch traveler Johan, visiting China for business negotiations, utilized the visa waiver policy for his fifth entry. He stated: "As a commercial professional, I greatly appreciate Xiamen's efficient and convenient customs environment." Beyond business meetings, he explores Chinese cuisine and traditional culture with partners. With successive facilitative policies for foreign entrants and combined impact of holiday travel peaks, Xiamen Port’s cross-border passenger volume shows sustained growth.  Data from the Gaoqi Branch of Xiamen General Immigration Inspection Station show that as of 7:00 AM on February 27, Xiamen Port's annual cross-border passenger flow surpassed one million. Among these, foreign travelers exceeded 170,000 visits, with over 60,000 utilizing visa exemptions, transit visa waivers, or direct transit without entry procedures, comprising over 70% of total inbound foreign travelers and reflecting a 20% year-on-year increase, primarily for tourism and business purposes.
